Mistaken Identity

In the lull between marathons, I like to search for current news items that have potential for Visitor fan fiction. A familiar name helps spark the imagination, too. Adam MacArthur is an uncommon name, but substitute the actor's much more common name and you find things like the following: <BR> <BR>"On May 17, about two dozen agents raided Greenville Tube Corp., a metal tube manufacturer in Clarksville. As he walked by surrounded by his entourage, I figured what a great opportunity to meet him, so I headed over to shake his hand. GEEEEEZZZZ. You would have thought I was Tavington or whoever. Don't mess with those dudes, they circled him up and about 2 of 'em were reaching into their lapels. FO__K <BR>I just waved and did an about face.

The Pilot is excellent! It started right off keeping us on the edge of our seats, and as the story unfolded, we were saying, "hey, this is good!" Adam has charisma.

I'll have to check again, but as the credits were scrolling, I thought I noticed a J. Davidson. The same as in Stargate??? It was nice to see L. Rippy (minus his long hair and out of the swamp in Patriot) Ha, go easy on me Sheri ;-)

Will, looks like you're on your way - good to see. From your comments, I'd say you're enjoying the action in this show. (And, yeah, Leon Rippy is a regular on The Visitor - one of my favorite characters. <BR> <BR>As a new viewer, what unanswered questions about the characters and plot do you have after watching Pilot? For most of us who've seen these episodes "a couple of times", it's hard to imagine your perspective. ;-)

Oooh. That's an important plot point, Will. You'll definitely hear more about little Jason.

I believe the pilot was written by D&E. And Jason is a fairly important plot point, but remember, the show was canceled mid-stream. So a lot of details, including those involving Jason, were never answered. (Hope that didn't spoil too much.)

Wait until I finally get to see all of the episodes, and I'll be able to jump in too. I do have some on tape courtesy of Trina, but I just have to brush up on my lip reading technique!

It's a very good story line, and I really enjoyed it. Am looking forward to more, matter of fact will probably watch Pilot again. Who was that Red Baron?? Jump in F13, just don't take some of the dialog too literally..."fire at will" heehee.

Well, "Where there's a Will there's a Way[ne]" I do hope to get to see the Visitor again. Unfortunately, the European version of the Sci-Fi channel has no ties with the American version, so it can't get its shows from them. Will, just re-reading your posts. You've mentioned the pilot's "little man" and asked who that Red Baron was. You probably know this, but those characters were in the flashbacks - depicting Adam MacArthur's life before he was abducted. <IMG SRC="http://www.electric-ent.com/bbs/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":)">

Actually I was sorting out some video tapes last night and discovered that I have the final episode taped. thanks, been busy lately. The style seems in line with other D & E productions. Good, very good. Seems as if it should have continued on. I see why its developed quite a following.
