We've gotten through the 8 day candle thing with Chanukah, just polished off Christmas, and now, for some, it's Kwanza. Are we ready for New Year's Eve yet?

December was a great month for catching The Visitor on the Sci Fi Channel with a marathon and Sunday showings. Unfortunately, I see no listings for January. A "cableless" fan requested help seeing the entire series - so I spent time watching at least portions of all 13 episodes in the process. That's a nice end of the year rite of passage for a Visitor fan.

When Adam pulled Faraday out of his carbon monoxide ridden garage, he muttered, "Not just yet, Mr. Faraday." Hopefully, we can say the same about the eventual end of The Visitor.

Enjoy your tapes. Happy Holidays

it's okay. When I worked for the Post Office, I had to work Christmas day and New Years.

And what exactly did you DO on those days? Heaven knows they sure don't deliver them days. >:-P

I did the same thing I did every day I worked for the post orifice -- I processed images of mail that the computers couldn't read the handwriting on.

Sunday had a hole in it without the 10 AM showing of "The Visitor". I've emailed the Sci-Fi channel after every showing, both weekly and the marathons. I'm going to keep on doing this in hopes that they will bring it back again. After all, they show repeats of other series - a lot of them not nearly the quality of "The Visitor" so I'm just going to keep on begging them for more of "The Visitor" reruns.

Happy New Year everyone!

Emma

Hehehe, yep, that's because yesterday was the Godzilla Stompathon! :]

...I woulda rather have seen a Visitor marathon.

1] The scifi channel shows the Visitor on a more or less regular basis. It does NOT show Godzilla regularly (and in fact, nearly dropped the big G completely a couple of years ago, in favor of "Field of Dreams" and the like... duh)

2] Godzilla has a bigger fan following than the Visitor :]

I liked Field of Dreams. I have been watching the morning listing scifi and have been a little disapponted not to see The Visitor lately, but then again I haven't seen The Patriot lately either. Who can I email?

Field of Dreams is not SciFi. It's just evil of Scifi to consider dropping Godzilla altogether (which they almost did), which IS scifi, in favor of Field of Dreams, which is certainly *NOT* scifi...

Didn't say it was a bad movie though, just being misclassed by the SF channel...

I suppose "Field of Dreams" has a bit of a fantasy element, which is why they stuck it in there. I really liked it, but I would agree that it wouldn't be a proper Sci-fi replacement for "Godzilla". I noticed Sci-fi showing the film "Fluke" which was really good too, but not exactly what you would classify as their standard fare!

Being the resident hater of all things SciFi Channel-You all know the reasons why, all I can say is, UPN is showing interest in Invisible Man.

Please visit-http://home.att.net/~skates/SaveIMAN.htm for more info.

Thanks!

Chris
The FOX plant

PS-I have more SF DVD's than the SFC dares to show-heck, at least Universal owns it again, maybe they can do something over in the television division.

Hell, if I had my way, Sci-fi would play at least one Visitor episode daily... in PRIME TIME! LOL ;o)
