Well, it looks like the UK Sci-fi channel has purchased all 13 episodes of the Visitor. This channel is independant of the US Sci-Fi channel so we don't automatically get the same shows.
"Taken" for example was shown on BBC2 and Network 2. This will be the first time that the series has been broadcast in it's entirity in the UK as ITV purchased a handful of episodes and shoved them in late night spots. Viewers in Ireland got all the episodes even if they were shown during the graveyard shift!

The series kicks off with the first two episodes shown together on August 29th.

http://uk.scifi.com/htmlsite/content.asp?sID=7&headID=727

Wayne, thanks for sharing. This is very cool news. I see that the UK Sci Fi Channel describes MacArthur as an Air Force pilot (not Navy) which fits better with what we saw in the series.

Are there any Visitor episodes that you haven't seen yet? Keep us posted.

Hi Kefla. I've missed a number of episodes as I accidently discovered the series while flicking through stations one night! Tina was kind enough to tape some episodes plus "The making of..." for me. I'm looking forward to seeing the Visitor in it's entirety, although I'll be away for the debut so I have to keep my fingers crossed that I set the VCR properly!

The magazines "SFX" and "Cult Times" have included a short piece on the Visitor this month, so the show should get a whole new audience.

It really is great to see new episodes, although the only bad thing is that is competing with "Dead Like Me". Interestingly enough, John Masius is the executive producer on both. It's a long shot, but is "the Visitor" theme music available anywhere?

Great to hear The Visitor is still airing - even if we can't get it here in the states (any news of a DVD?).

When I want to hear the theme song, I visit this fan site:

http://www.codeforfood.com/corbett/Visitor/index.htm

Pat reminded me the other day, this month is the 6th year anniversary of The Visitor's debut. So it's pretty cool that we're still talking about this show.

And it's six years that we've all had the pleasure of knowing each other, thanks to that show and this site.

No news of a DVD unfortunately and I don't know who to petition for it. "Teufelsnacht" is on this week and I think I remember a web chat taking place during breaks in the filming of that episode. It sounded like eveyone was enjoying themselves, so even more reason to renunite them for a commentary

Thanks for the link to the theme, I hadn't heard it in five years, and there was a serious sense of deja vu listening to it again!

Sher, the Vistor - still bringing people together!

Just a quick note to say that "The Visitor" is being re-shown on Sci-fi UK, with double-bill of episodes on Saturday, repeated on Sundays. I'd prefer one a week to last right through the summer, but beggars can't be choosers! At least I'll get to tape "Miracles" after missing half of it last time.

Steve Railsback in a Santa suit. LOL! Your post brings back great memories. Wayne, did you not see the ending or did you just not get a chance to tape all of the episode (Miracles)?

Kefa, I'd forgotten about the reluctant Santa! I have seen "Miracles" in full only once because of a mishap with the VCR timer. I do remember thinking how short the cast were until I discovered that John Corbett is quite a tall fellow. Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to watching the episode again.
