Hey kids. Just got a primo copy of Gxm(subtitled!)
And if any one cares I'll give a full review, But-
This was the best G in a longgggg time! G2k was lame compared to this one(kinda mediocre in general)I even have info on how to get your own copy.....

Hmmmmm where to begin...
Story- well of course theres always the setup of monster vs. monster. It starts w/flashbacks to g54(w the g2k suit!)and explains how due to G's relentless attacks japan outlaws most forms of energy(resorting to solar, etc..) But I won;t go over the plot. What made this cool was we see G emoting(ala the old 60's 70's series) being a bad *ss, but still staying serious. The direction and effects are almost on par w/Gamera.The use of effects are much improved, blending G w/live action VERY well.Theres very little overtly derivitive stuff(like the Hesei series). The villain, while looking like a re-hash of Battra, is actually pretty menacing. The scenes are fairly fast paced and exciting(as opposed to the slow g2k)The music is cool, w/out re-using old Ifakubes theme. You get to see a character ride G's fins! Anyway this film to me was the best of the last 20 years, and if you liked(or for that matter were dissappointed even) w/g2000 then check this one out.

Thanks for asking RJ! Hmmm I think you need a copy...

It desperately needs to be released here in the states.
On VHS and DVD.

If that happens I'm hoping for a choice of original language with optional Subtitles or Dubbed on the DVD. (I prefer Subbed)

A theatical release would be... interesting as well. ;)
Again, Subtitled rather than Dubbed.
That would help it be taken more seriously.

THAT is VERY good news..
I haven't gotten the opportunity to see G3 yet.
I'm told it's (both technically and artisticly) better than G2 which I was very impressed with.

I've been holding off on GXM until I can get it on DVD (LOVE my new toy) But I may have to break down and get the VHS fom "Source X"
(Dealer's real name withheld for diplomatic reasons)

That IS one dealer.....
There are many.

There's one that didn't SELL you bootlegged videos.
They RENTED them to ya. No Late fees or replacement charges. You could rent a film on VHS for $20 and not really have to return it. ;)

I need to get busy on those DVDs. I've only got TWO godzilla DVDs. Terror of Mechagodzilla and Godzilla 2000. Anyone know someone who carries a region free or region 1 DVD of Godzilla X Megaguirus????????
