Apparently the trailer for "Eight legged Freaks" is showing along with "13 Ghosts".

CHUD.com and 13thSteet.com posted the following report from a viewer.

Might be spoiler-esque so be warned!

*
*
*
*
*
*
*
*
*
*
*

"At a screening of 13 Ghosts last night I witnessed the trailer for the film that was once going to be called Arac Attack.

And it was good.

If you're a fan of the mix of humor and cool creature effects that we've seen before in films like Tremors (among others), you're going to be very happy with this trailer. It looks poised to bring that kind of feel to a whole new level.

Here's what I can remember, in no particular order:

-small spiders about to crawl onto unsuspecting hands. These scenes make you think you're in for another "Arachnophobia." Don't worry, it gets better.

-the big spiders appear to be between the size of a meduim sized dog and a small car. They are fast, scary, and nicely rendered. The CGI appeared to blend pretty well with the practical props.

-Funniest moment of the trailer: An overhead shot of a guy sitting on top of a ladder or some sort of pile of stuff. The floor is teeming with spiders the size of medium to large sized dogs. As he blasts away at them with a shotgun, he screams "You...eight...legged...FREAKS!" As each word is uttered, the corresponding part of the title is superimposed in blood-red block letters over the right side of the image.

-Second funniest moment: A group of teenagers are standing in a circle laughing uproriuosly at something. Out of nowhere, a big spider-shaped blur comes in from the right of the frame and takes a teen with it off the left of the frame nearly instantaneously. I can't remember if we get to see the reaction from the other teens, I was laughing too hard.

-A large spider jumps onto or is thrown onto a shop window, startling the people inside the shop. They watch as it slowly slides down the glass, squeaking as it goes. Eh, this is kind of an overused gag, but nothing too terrible.

-MASS MAYHEM. Spiders attacking an SUV on the freeway. A big spider leaps from behind and takes down a guy on a dirtbike

- another GREAT moment. Shots of big-ass spiders leaping and moving with absolutely terrifying speed and agility. The trailer shows off little dialogue and a plethora of spider action, but I still got the feeling that it was just scratching the surface.

This has jumped way up my must-see list. It looks like a very fun time at the movies, which is something we desperately need at the moment."

Warner Bros have the official film description:

"What do you get when you cross toxic waste with a bunch of exotic spiders? Eaten. As every fan of classic spine-tinglers knows, given the opportunity and the right chemical enhancement, arachnids will grow to humongous size and wreak havoc upon humanity. In "Eight Legged Freaks" the residents of a rural mining town discover that an unfortunate chemical spill has caused hundreds of little spiders to mutate overnight to the size of SUVs. And they're hungry.

When the alarm is sounded, it is up to mining engineer Chris McCormack (Arquette) and Sheriff Sam Parker (Wuhrer) to mobilize an eclectic group of townspeople, including the Sheriff's young son, Mike (SCOTT TERRA), her daughter, Ashley (SCARLETT JOHANSSON) and paranoid radio announcer Harlan (DOUG E. DOUG), into battle against the bloodthirsty eight-legged beasts.

With state-of-the-art visual effects conceived and rendered by CFX ("Independence Day"), "Eight Legged Freaks" updates such inspired genre classics as "Them" and "The Black Scorpion." Bon appetit."
