From Greg Dean Schmitz:

"Well, I've seen it, and since I've got nothing but happy vibes to give this movie... This movie was made in the spirit of 1950s "giant monster" movies, and it delivers on its promise, both as a creepy, thrill-inducing bug movie, and as a comedy."

-=JAG!

I hate to say it, but that doesn't sound good.

I frequent other forums where a movie like ELF would be a Godsend, except the biggest recurrent comment is "I hope it's a good movie, and I don't mind campy, but I don't want the stupid laughs".

IOW, they don't mind it being like the old 50's and 60's movie, but they'd want it a little more serious. Too campy/too many laughs (for laughs sake) and they're going to rip it apart. And I know these people. Word of mouths spreads like wildfire. It could kill this film...

My brother works for Electronic Arts. His entire building is banding together to see it. Don't know about the other three EA buildings... ;)
