The UDailyNews article I posted yesterday said "the producers spent $10 million on production and $17 million for digital effects." I would imagine a nice chunk-o-change probably went to A&M above and beyond that as well.

Briefly, Will. The fifth season of SATC premieres tomorrow night, so all the entertaiment channels have had shows promoting it. I've been looking forward to seeing where they take the characters this year. :o)

Variety is currently predicting "Freaks" will gross an estimated 6.7 million over the Friday-Sunday sesh with a five day cume of about 9.3 million. This places it 7th behind "Stuart Little 2," "Perdition," "MIB2," "K-19," "Deeds," and "Reign of Fire," in that order. Final numbers will be available tomorrow.

An Update: <BR> <BR>The giant-bug flick "Eight Legged Freaks," starring David Arquette, was seventh (for the weekend) with $6.7 million, pushing its total to $9.3 million since opening Wednesday. <BR> <BR>-=JAG!

So far, everyone I've talked to thats seen it has really liked it. Even those that generally don't like "bug" type movies.
