Somehow I thought the DVD/VHS release was 10/28 -- but guess not. Just a reminder.. grab ya copy on 10/29. Just in time for Halloween!

-=JAG!
(EE Promotion's department wannabe and 24/7 chat room mopper -- but with the chat room absent, guess I'm out of a job for the time being) :o(

The mathematical probabilities of it being released around Halloween is right on the money.

Just got the DVD. T'was great to re-watch the movie. I dunno, the home versions always seem 'brighter' than the film itself in the theatre. I could appreciate the hilarious cat/spider scene a lot more.

Something else I didn't notice in the theatre that I did in the DVD ... When a spider got killed near the camera.. some of its blood would splatter on the lens.. neat effect.

Enjoyed Ellory's "Larger than life" short film, and was able to catch a few minutes of the commentary. Our friend Dean is accompanied by Ellory, Rick Overton and David Arquette.

As said, didn't get a chance to hear the commentary much (bed time approach-eth) -- but from what little I did hear, Dean was being his usual self. :o)

Is it me Dean, or did your voice sound fuller/deeper than your previous DVD commentaries? Were you ill (or just getting over a cold)? or did "Glen Scarpelli / Ralph Macchio" finally reach puberty? :oP

Haven't had a chance to pop the DVD into the computer.. We'll see what other goodies await.

-=JAG!

Since Ellory's a kiwi, I can translte for you, I've studied Kiwise.

Their favorite Christmas carol is "Jungle Bill's"

"Jungle Bill's, Jungle Bill's, Jungle all the way..."

Like all other Devlin productions, its just as good seeing it again! Am enjoying the DVD, and the commentary as well, but would like to add a small correction about the mention of Leon Rippy being in The Patriot. It's SOUTH. Confusing perfume??? You're forgiven, its great!

Thanks to all for pointing out little trivia here and there...

And, after a while -- Dean's voice did start to sound more like "Dean" as the commentary continued... but now another mystery.. Dean's voice seems to be conspicously absent towards the end of the movie.. Right after the POV shot of the forklift being pushed away by the tarantula.. Then as the credits roll, it's almost like Dean's voice was added afterwards..

Maybe it's me.. but thanks Dean et al for a nice DVD treat.

-=JAG!

PS: By the way Dean, did you voice over anything in this movie or was the production just way too rushed?

I have visions of all the filmmakers sitting around a table and making weird spider-like sounds into the microphone.
