I just wanted to encourage everyone to go out and see CELLULAR this weekend. The reviews we've been getting have been terrific. Ebert and Roper gave us two thumbs up.

I hope you all enjoy it. It's a fun movie and it's actually about something.

I look forward to hearing what you all thought of it. Post up your comments after you've seen it!

Take care,

-Dean Devlin

I'll be there! Hopefully for Friday, opening day, assuming it'll be playing here.

Woohoo!! I'll see if I can sneak away.

<-- worn out. Just spent the past hour in the cold, wind and rain putting Roxy's new doghouse into her pen. It weighs 150lbs + and just Chris and I did it by ourselves. Had to undo the fencing a bit to be able to get it inside the pen, then put the fencing back up. Oy!

Oooookay, just got home from the movie. (Hi Starr!)

WOW!!!

What a well written story. It's weaved so perfectly. I admit, I was skeptical as to how much of a storyline could be told on such a premise, but WOW, it does it well, and it does it realistically. Every situation makes sense, every action has a foreshadowing, it's a story well told. I'd go see it again. I don't want to give away too much just yet for those of you who haven't had a chance to see it yet. Just GO when it comes to your area. It's money well spent.

And of course, in true Dean fashion, there's plenty of hidden homages if you know what you're looking for. Hey Dean, where'd you guys dig up that sexy cab driver? *wink wink nudge nudge* And the "Brenner" sign. And whole schwack load of others...my brain is swimming in the movie right now.

How much did Office Depot pay to have such a prominent product placement, btw? *grin*

I'll let Starr post her report too. Take it away, Starr!

I finally got to see Final Call (Cellular) with a couple of friends. We really enjoyed it, especially the characters, but also the action and thrill. Really well done and put together nicely.

For example, I found it very good that the main character in a sense wasn't really a normal person turning into the ultimate hero, but more like an ordinary person doing the right thing, sometimes with questionable measures, but in the end you get a feeling that he just had to do the things he did. We really liked the fight between Ryan and Jason Statham's character, in which it's obvious that Ryan doesn't have a chance against the well-trained cop.

And William H. Macy was so good, too!

Only one complaint: Kim Basinger's German dubbing voice... :o)

I had to laugh at Dean's cameo... great!
