Well OK now
Sheri and I went to the 9:20 showing tonight (friday opening night!) and WOOOO do we have a story to tell without telling the whole story!!
Front row center on the balcony, best seats in the house!

First off... Hey Sheri.. remember what TAXI company we need to call when we go to LA in 2006...
I tell ya all.. They had the hottest driver.
HUBBA HUBBA!!!

My over all impression.. Suspenseful, edge of the seat at points, lots of 'what else could happen'-s and 2 XL bags of popcorn but take it easy on the pop because you are NOT gonna wanna miss a second!

The part where the cell phone falls... dead silence...
I swear the whole audience held their breath, I know I did!

Impression from the people leaving the theater..
I didn't hear a bad word.. all very positive!
(even my son's teacher was there!)

I think I will leave the rest for Sheri to comment on...
She still had a 20 min drive after dropping me off, so I got to get the thread started!

My recommendation.. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!
It was $10.75 well spent and TOTALLY on my wish list to own.

Stands up and applauds!!!
We give it FOUR thumbs up!

Oooookay, just got home from the movie. (Hi Starr!)

WOW!!!

What a well written story. It's weaved so perfectly. I admit, I was skeptical as to how much of a storyline could be told on such a premise, but WOW, it does it well, and it does it realistically. Every situation makes sense, every action has a foreshadowing, it's a story well told. I'd go see it again. I don't want to give away too much just yet for those of you who haven't had a chance to see it yet. Just GO when it comes to your area. It's money well spent.

And of course, in true Dean fashion, there's plenty of hidden homages if you know what you're looking for. Hey Dean, where'd you guys dig up that sexy cab driver? *wink wink nudge nudge* And the "Brenner" sign. And whole schwack load of others...my brain is swimming in the movie right now.

How much did Office Depot pay to have such a prominent product placement, btw? *grin*

OOOPSIE!!
(Hi Sheri!! Bad girl musta been SPEEDING on the way home LOL)

I think we can use the excuse that our minds were SO caught up in the movie that we were not thinking clearly!
Yea Yea that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I know I am still wired and will not be able to sleep for at least a couple more hours..
NOT saying that it's a bad thing though..

I will probably end up seeing Cellular at least twice more..
Once with Twiggy dear (good friend who LOVES a good movie) and once with the oldest 2 boys.
Not that I'm complaining!

I was just gonna say "Livin La Vida Loca". LOL

I seem to see a recurring theme in Dean's movies too, where the under-achieving leading man has to prove to his ex that he DOES have potential if only she gives him another chance.

I must say, the casting for Ryan was perfect. I couldn't have seen Heath doing this...he looks too responsible. lol This kid was believable right from the get go.

Couple others I noticed without giving too much away. hehehe

'Safety First' ;)

"...It's a black SUV..."

"He's the one with the cellphone!" (ROFL!)

"Cellular" on the van at the store. Was that one of the set vehicles? ;-P

P.S. Actually, Starr, I was putting at about 80-90k....lotsa deer on that highway that time of night and too many oncoming cars to run my highbeams to be able to keep an eye on the ditches.

What a thriller of a movie! Very well done in all aspects! I meant to pop in sooner but with dodging all these hurricanes and an occasional tornado....well, its always something. Nickelback says it best-ready to wash my hands of this-
Great movie and acting. So good it deserves a repeat visit, which I will. Talk soon, everyone talk care.

Sooo I know you already saw it once BUT you said it was REALLY good and are willing to go see it again..."
(midnight showing tonight and the audience was half full FYI)

Having seen it twice.. I saw a whole bunch of "little things" that I missed the first time around..
*shaking her head.. how did I miss THAT??!!*

was totally worth every penny both times!!!

What is the release date for DVD??!!

Ok, ok.. I'm late.. but I finally got around to seeing the movie. Actually, looks great on my new TV.

I'm right there with the rest of the comments.. suspenseful, action-packed, and a bit of humor thrown in for good measure.

Dean's cameo -- not hard to miss.

Ya, I know -- I'm jumping on the band wagon a bit late.. but as they say, better late than never.

-=JAG!

PS: Incidentally, trying out the movie channels and so far have seen, "Stargate" (twice), "Eight Legged Freaks", "The Day After Tomorrow", and now "Cellular". Seems the work of Devlin/Emmerich is quite popular on these channels.
