Seems so, why does no one post on this board to discuss all the themes of Independent film and have fun with it ?

Okay, what do you know about the new Joel Schoemaker movie that is in production ?
I have heard something about the story playing only in a telephone cell. A guy is talking in a telephonecell and is threatened to be murdered if he hangs up. Strange story and the budget shall be 10 mill US$, Joel goes for Indiscene after
" Batman " and other big shoting stars.
Is this a new trend in Hollywood ?
If you look at the upcoming strikes it seems to affect a lot of people in the working business. Even Julia Roberts is solidaring with the lower incomes, as she said AGA has made her a solid platform to start her career.
This are two themes. One can bound them with :
"Are Hollywood actors and directors are going indi??"
So why don´t we meet them here at the messaage board...
They didn´t find their computers yet, I guess.
Electric goose, what do you think ?
And AC Ferrante or anyone who wants to say something about this or other things on films or indi-filmers.
Greetings

Hogan

Greetings

Um, sounds a lot like Mr. D's movie...

and Joel nearly got laughed out of the industry after "Batman and Robin", so he didn't have much choice but to redeem himself via indy flix.

I haven't heard about the Schumacker thing. I love Julia Roberts. I wish she'd get some better stuff. So many of her characters are "repeaters." Same girl, different name and situation. Erin Brockovich ruled!

The IndiFilm channel is one of my faves.
http://www.ifctv.com/

"Proof" a story about a blind guy who takes pictures and asks people what they're of. Since he thinks everyone lies to him he keeps asking people. He finally gets up the courage to ask about the most important picture. The one he thought his mother lied about.

In serious :
Take a look at the article of IFmagazine about Maggy Greenwald and her film " Songcatcher ".
That story appeals a lot to me. And according to the reported reactions at the Sundance film festival, not only to me. I would like to see such a movie in Austria, or Europe generally.
We only get those Blockbusters over the ocean.

Greetings

Hogan
