I had been scouring the iF Mag. and saw *somewhere* where someone had inquired about an old movie - The Fearless Vampire Killers (slayers???) or Pardon Me But Your Teeth Are In My Neck. Has anyone ever seen it or heard of it. We had ordered/rented it in school long ago. It was an old reel film, B&W, not quite sure where it was made, lotsa snow, spooky and comedy, sleighs and horses. Any ideas?

It's only real claim to faim is that it starred a pre-Manson Sharon Tate. <BR> <BR>Apparently, the producer of this flick found Sharon on the set of "The Beverly Hillbillies" and begged Polanski to put her in the movie. <BR> <BR>I once <I>thought</I> I had recorded this thing off of AMC late at night, only to discover that I'd only gotten the credit sequence before the tape ran out. Mark, it's pretty simple. I *used* to have fun here, but things have changed. It's a weird day for me when the invite to post comes via a posted insult, comedic or otherwise (especially when everybody has my ICQ number.) Even our attempt at going along with the humor in this particular thread has been effectively squashed by the very people who started it. I receive no pleasure from reading "enough of" or "anything to stop certain discussion" when it's obviously something I and a few others on this BBS DO enjoy discussing and/or having fun with. <BR> <BR>I thought this was a pretty open board, but I'm tired now and need to move on for a while. Maybe I'll post another mega post in The Visitor conference after the next marathon. Or maybe I won't. Depends on how motivated I feel. I do sincerely appologize Pat. I realized sometime after I posted that (which was about an hour AFTER I should have been in bed) that it came off a bit harsh. <BR> <BR>Sadly, I understand what you mean about growing tired of posting, as the discussions have amounted to little more than a simple back and forth 'tween you and Kefla. <BR> <BR>I don't really have a chance to watch the tapes, so unfortunately I am not able to contribute that much to the discussions. Also, San4 has been off the scene for awhile (there was always something akin to child like awe in her posts that actually helped to inspire me to contribute in that conference). <BR> <BR>It's hard to top the eagle eye of the real Agent, however :] So at best I can only offer opinions, and even then, it's when I'm deep enough in that mindset. Just like my post the other night, a question popped into my head, but I wasn't deep enough in the mindset to answer my own query (hence my 'pushing' of others responses, hoping to jiggle my own senses). I'm sorry if this, and other attempts (ususally masqueraded as humor) came off as insulting or offensive. <BR> <BR>Playing around is fine (and I know, if anyone can take it, you can), but I vote publicly that we leave discussion of that *other* bbs off of *THIS* bbs, for the sake of commdarie.

THANK YOU Doc Psy. We had watched that movie so much in the span we had it rented, it almost became a Rocky Horror Picture Show type, with audience participation. It was a hoot.

Guys - be honest. If you read through the posts in this thread, it should be no mystery why our own Agent Pat would be ticked. It really was designed to get her attention. And I played along - letting her know about the posts. <IMG SRC="http://www.electric-ent.com/bbs/clipart/sad.gif" ALT=":("> But when we continued the fun, you didn't seem to care for that. <BR> <BR>Being coy is no longer fun, IMO. John Corbett now has a significant role in an HBO series called Sex and the City. Although the show is not for everyone, it can be very entertaining. The other board is HBO SATC BBS. While it may not always be quite as homogenous (searching for a word, here) as Electric/Centropolis BBS, there's certainly a great deal of activity and freedom there. <BR> <BR>If the mere mention of characters from SATC disturbs people here, I can't imagine how you'll get discussions going in such an atmosphere. (Even A&E BBS is discussing these characters recently!) You know my preference is for The Visitor discussion - and I've come to appreciate most of Centropolis' projects. But I think I need a break for a little while. <BR> <BR>Lets all take our happy pills and agree to meet again as friends soon. JMHO

Oh..so that is the other board..another TV show? I didn't get a lot of what was in this post.... I tried to get into the posting aspect of The Visitor..watched the one episode, and commented, but noticed not many seemed to care for discussions..then I also got busy...haven't watched any episodes on tape since, and noticed no one seemed to notice that I hadn't posted about any either. I still very much want to watch the other episodes...some I have not even seen, as I simply recorded them, and didn't necessarily watch them. <BR> <BR>Anyhow...still not sure exactly what all the hubub is about...hope all is going to be fine though. hehehe

Well....we needed Pat's assistance in lynching the fungal one who used "slays" and "horses" in place of "sleighs". (she's so good at that stuff, what with her Harley and all LOL) heeehee So I posted a pic of JC to lure Pat in. It was MEANT to be FUNNY. It's always worked in the past. <BR> <BR>But then somehow we degraded into a melee. :-\ I was TEASING about Big and Aidan and that *other* bbs, but it got taken too seriously. I know they pretty much take up 101% of Pat's time these days. It's a sci-fi board after all, and not everybody gets HBO or cares to discuss other, non sci-fi shows. Have you seen the new V-Rod Pat? 115 hp 140 mph. Definetely not the norm but I think it'll have a market.
