How often are the films in America shown in the director´s cut version ?

Nowadays, it seems as often as there actually ARE directors cuts!

If you mean in a theater, usually never. Unless that director has a name that stars with "S" and ends with "pielberg" or starts with "L" and ends with "ucas." And, sometimes a director will get the go ahead to re-edit a movie for video release as he sees fit, though that isn't the norm. <BR> <BR>Sometimes (if the re-edit is so drastic, or if the distrubtors think they can get away with it) Hollywood will release the "director's cut" into theaters, usually in a limited run (unless, of course, someone's willing to poney up money for a full run). <BR> <BR>I haven't noticed many "director's cut" movie's out recently...but, then, I live down here, so what do I know?
