The new movie starts in Europe at 22.11.2001, but the merchandise is already overroling the shops... <BR>Interesting Hype or just another phantasy movie ? <BR> <BR>Nina Kahler

Both, it's getting a lot of publicity here too. The teasers look good enough to take a young one to see, probably be loads of merchandising following and me thinks there'll be a few (movies) to follow.

I've been hearing predictions of it beating Titanic's american take (in america, but I doubt it will take more than 280million. Remember, it was mainly teenage girls [and their bf's] who saw Titanic, so they largely had their own money.)

Sorry fungie but I must disagree, Titanic's dollar intake was not build on teens. It had a universal popularity. (I didn't care for it...) As does Harry Potter. It's not just a kid's book. Adults have read it too. They did a TV spot, Friday on the news, about a local 8am showing of Harry Potter. ALL grown ups. Many plan on going to see it multiple times. Seeing it alone so they can "really enjoy it" and seeing it with their kids who will ask a lot of questions or need something. But it is funny ,isn´t it ? <BR>I am actually concurrencing "Harry Potter" with my own phantasy movie " Elli and the Magician ". But it is in no cinema release to see now. It is in the endrun at my university´s end exam.(Not coming soon..). <BR> <BR>Nina
