Any email proggie that requires IE only is in itself a fault.

Heck, I tried installing Microsquash's Personal Webserver last night. Norton had a FIT! And not only that, it's changed my icons on me, and now my outgoing ports don't seem to work. Microsoft SUCKS!!!! I'm going with Apache webserver soon as I get my other drive backed up so I can install Linux on it. >:-P

Just for the record, Sheri, Norton has a fit with EVERYTHING! Seriously. I can't tell you how many program errors are solved by simply disabling part of Norton... It's almost as intrusive as M$!

*shrugs* Dunno bout yours, but mine's pretty much quiet most of the time. It only ALERTED me when I tried installing the Personal Web Server.

Kinda reminds me of that joke..."Scanning for viruses.....Windows Found. Delete?"

hehehe

I don't use Photoshop, so I don't have any problems there. Actually, I don't seemt to like using any of my Adobe products aside from Acrobat. They all are bloated and take longer to load than they need to. Paint Shop Pro does everything Photoshop can (or close enough) and Illustrator takes WAYYYY too much room to do that same things my CorelDraw10 and Wordperfect can do. And Adobe Premiere freezes on launch up, and I've tried installing it twice already. (Uninstalling in between of course) Maybe third time will be a charm?

IMHO, Macromedia, Jasc, and Corel have the better products.

Btw, I had to close out Zone Alarm Pro. It wasn't letting ANY incoming connections, even though it was configured to let them in. Worked fine for the first few days, but then it just went weird on me. *shrugs*

And before you can say "well, it's SUPPOSED to block incoming connections", I'm talkin it was blocking ICQ, email, WinMX, et al. >:-P

You have to set the permissions. You could have just opened it, clicked "programs" then went to those programs and okayed all of them.

I did that. The permissions ARE set. This happened shortly after I tried installing Personal Web Server, which won't uninstall, btw. Stupid thang.

that is an odd problem...
I have Norton AND photoshop and they get along JUST FINE!
infact my norton has NO problems with any of the programs I am running..

Perhaps it is just cause my puter is possessed.
(trust the Pagan to have the possessed computer..)

Shrugs..

I darest ya to try installing Windows' Personal Web Server. ;-) IT's possessed. I had to go into the registry files by hand to get rid of the darned thing after it royally screwed up my port settings, et al. (Thanks Auric for your help there!) Norton KNEW something was bad about the Personal Web Server proggie...tried to warn me, but I thought, Okay, I know, Windows IS a virus, but hey, it's a "trusted source". PAH! >:-P Learned MY lesson there. Always trust Norton. LOL

I know YOU used something. But for me, the derned thing don't work worth crap. All it did was interfere with everything. *shrugs* So I'm running Apache instead. Now I just gotta get my routable IP addy and I'll be all set! (Should be avail next month sometime)
