NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Please tell me its not true Dean! Come on, a sequel to ID4.(saw this news in the ID4 area) Of course this is best taken care of in your hands after the loss of Godzilla. But I always cringe at the word 'sequel'. I'm like the ultimate ID4 fan. And I would hate to see movies ruined by the replacement of an original role by some other actor. In my mind ID4 is a masterpiece and most sequels disgrace the original. This is not to say that I don't have faith in your movie making talent but a sequel is onlygood if it is of the calibre of ALIENS & The Empire Strikes Back.

Anyways enough of my lack of faith, bye.

I couldn't agree with you more. That's why it's taken us so long to work on a sequel. We've waited for the right idea and I think we've finally found it. Roland Emmerich and I have been working on the story for the past couple of months and if the script comes out as well as we think it will, then, yes, we'd like to do the sequel. But again, only if we can do it right.

Thanks for your support and I hope you like what we do with this.

Best,

-Dean Devlin

This is great news! There's no doubt an ID4 sequal will be every bit as good as the first. Eagleleader, I have to add The Black Stallion Returns to the list of worthy sequals. Lets hope the ID4 sequal gets the green light.

Thanks for taking the time to respond Mr. Devlin. A response was just what I needed for some reassurance. I guess I'd better prepare to empty my wallet for more ID4 merchandise, afterall I consider myself an ID4 bounty hunter.

Them there Aliens better not come a knocking in Oklahoma, or it will be more than just wind sweeping down the plains. hehe
If they come to my area... In a word, I have not yet been defeated in mortal combat.

Semper Fi dude, not neverlast, but Everlast! Eagleleader, was there a toy, plastic replica of the alien figure in ID4? I think I remember seeing one, or something very similar once. Seems it was fairly large, maybe a foot and a half including the legs??

Speaking of MK, are you looking forward to MK5?

Yeah Shetan, there were many toys of the creature. But those were the small ones. As for one that's a foot and a half, I don't know about that. Maybe it might have been a movie prop or something? I have one of the 10 inch tall models of the alien. The largest I've heard of is a couple feet tall, supposed to be life sized. Its meant to be a store prop and a movie museum has one in my city. Not for sale though, damn!
