Hey I just read that you were in Tulsa Oklahoma? So how did you like the Okie weather here?
We Okies love our SPIDERS? Oh we sure do...LOVE STEPPING ON THEM.

Well actually I am the farm (all knowing) bug person, and my boundries include several species of spider. I am always getting asked, "What kind of spider is this?" "Is it poisonous?" ext...

So Dean, after visiting OK, did you pick up any Okie drawl? hehe

Loved it! The people were gracious and hospitable. I'd never been to that convention before and really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be back again!

-Dean Devlin

Awesome!!!

WELCOME TO OKLAHOMA DEAN!!! As ambassador (Not) of our friendly state, I gladly hand you over the key....well will you take an oil rig? hehe

Also Mr. D. reciently there has been much to say about movie making in OK. I know that there is going to be some sort of crash course at Oklahoma Community College on directing. At this present time I can't attend anything, for my work is TAKING up all my time. I'm sure you can understand that. However the film business looks bright in our future, or so it seems.
Today a local indie producer was excited to announce that Oklahoma may start having larger budget films made here. Some sort of change in policy is allowing this. I know the last film made here was Twister, of which came out the same year as ID4.
He's says if everything goes right, things should pick up next year.
Personally I think it would be cool to have a Mid-US mini-hollywood.

TWISTER 2! Woo Hoo!
I am such a big fan of this film. They were going to make a sequel but I haven't heard any more on that.

Oh well, atleast, we will probably get an ID42!

I loved Twister too! Even though some deplore it, I found it very entertaining and it's one of the few movies I have here on tape. I love exciting thrills like thunderstorms. And the theme even had an interesting parallel with the two main characters lives. It was perfect!

I enjoyed it (a heck of a lot more than "Speed 2: Ship Happens"), but I don't think it's a movie that you can do a decent sequel of.

Alot of critics and others said that Twister didn't have a story. I'd like to ask them what the heck they mean?

Because I really loved the characters in the film and the story was about how chasing these tornadoes were getting the two back together and getting their life back straight. I mean, you have action, a dose of humour, beautiful music, great characters and a great story. What isn't there to like, ya know? It had all the elements that get my Pumpkinhead Seal of Approval.

Twister and ID4 made my summer of 1996 swell. And I remember it all like it was yesterday.

Hey, just think: ID4 was almost up against Godzilla!

When DeBont walked from the G project, he went on to do twister instead. If he'd stuck with Godzilla, we would have been seeing that in the summer of 96...
