I saw this movie on a premium movie channel (I think it was Showtime) about two years ago. I didn't recognize any familiar faces in the film, and remember thinking it was an obscure independent film.

Despite my very vague recollection of most aspects of the film here's a few details I do remember:

1. It's focused on a man who has a VERY cynical take on life.
2. He meets a woman at a video store who has a well-to-do father that pays for the home they moved into.
3. He enjoys visiting comedy clubs, and heckling comics by sitting in the back and halfway through their routine laughing in slow, well-pronounced "Ha"'s, as he progressively gets louder. He continues unstopped until breaks the sanity of everyone (mainly the comic) in the club.
4. He sits in the backyard of their home with nothing more than a cheap table and chair, while he reads the paper and drinks a beer.
5. He continues to tear body panels of the car he drives.
6. He decides to write some kind of weekly or monthly paper that contains articles of people he interviews.
7. In one scene, he interviews a small-time band in his backyard (I think his backyard) for the paper. Towards the end of the interview, he not only makes a really rude remark about the band sucking, but then walks into the house leaving the band members dumb-founded, and then irate when they realize that the tape recorder he had left sitting on the table was without a cassette, recording nothing.

I hope someone can put together the name of this movie with the bits of information I've provided. I have asked many people knowledgeable of odd-ball movies, yet everyone draws a blank on this one. HELP ME PLEASE!!
