Just wondering if you could give us any info on how along you are. Tell me you at least have a script, maybe pre-production? Thanks for taking the time to reply if you get around to it.

We hit a major glitch in the road at Paramount. So we had to take the project elsewhere. We're in the process of setting the film up now and, unfortunately, will have to start again from the beginning.

That's Hollywood.

-Dean Devlin

This is a movie that has huge potential draw. I have been a fan for years. But, the reason for my statement is that when I introduced this to my wife and others that see it without the lust for the original game or its rich history, are drawn to it quite easily. I feel that this is really a story that will get somewhere with non-battletech types as well.

Mr Devlin, where do you stand on the Mechwarrior Project? Is it dead or have you found another studio willing to pick the project up? I have been a Mechwarrior fan for years, and I even have virtual stock in this project at the Hollywood Stock Exchange.

Any chance on an update on the MechWarrior project (since it has been almost a year after the last bit of news?

I believe there's a 'news' section on the main page of this site that updates when well, there's something to update

If I thought the 'news' section to be the most up to date information source I would not have asked on this board. As evidenced by this board, news doesn't exactly make it to the 'news' section.

Maybe the internet has grown to a point where it it trying to communicate by looking into itself for a coherent language.

I know it's lame, but anyone got a better far-fetched idea?
