Stargate Question for Devlin

Dean, Glad to see we may finally get to see the Stargate Trilogy play out. I do have a question on this, and it is will Roland be a big part of this as well, since you two have went your seperate directions?

I can't imagine Roland not having a hand in it. We've discussed the project many times over the years and I know it's close to his heart as well. The last time we spoke about it, Roland definitely wanted the option to direct them. Though Roland and I are no longer part of the same company, we remain good friends and there are several projects we're talking about doing together in the future. Hopefully this will be among them.

I REALLY hope that you make these films, Mr. Devlin. StarGate is a masterpiece that has for too long been compared to and even thought of as the same entity as the vastly inferior show. Making those VALID continuations to the original film will forever drive the stake between the film's story and Glassner's distorted and bastardized version of Stargate.

Has there been any new news on if we will see Stargate 2 and 3, or is MGM still thinking about it. I know I saw they are working on 2 direct to DVD SG1 movies, but have not heard anything on this.

I've been a little wary of hearing about these movies, because generally it's being said that they're going to use the characters from the tv show, which I really don't approve much of. However, looking though this board has eased my thoughts a little, and if anything *does* come of the sequal, I wish the best of luck in its production. ^.^
