Speakin' of AICN --

One of my favorite sites I visit quite a bit (besides here) is digg.com

For those of you out there that don't know what digg is -- essentially a site where people post up news/videos -- basically any information that is (or might be) of interest to others. People check it out, and if they think it's "digg" worthy, they 'digg' it. The more diggs an article gets, the better chances it makes its way to digg.com's front page for more exposure.

Digg.com and specifically, digg users have been the "messiah" for those of us that have had customer service issues with companies... One story of note was a guy that bought an HDTV at Best Buy and got the shaft when it failed within warranty and BB didn't want to repair or replace it. Digg users banded together -- flooded the BB email addresses and phone lines. Next thing you know, the guy got a new TV and gift card etc..etc.

Ok, now that I've done the digg rant... there is a point I'm making here...

A story about Bruce Willis participating in AICN's talkbacks... and now that his participation has been verified, everyone is calling it "the day the internet lived", or "best thing that's ever happened on the net" -- and yet I sat back and chuckled...

First off, my hat's off to Mr. Willis for interacting with fans in the digital realm. Any celebrity that takes time to mingle with their fans either online or off deserves huge props and respect. But I chuckled in that I recall having the same experience here with Dean and other chat guests throughout the years -- EONs ago.

As usual, Dean's ahead of his time. What's big internet news today, is merely a yawn in EE/Centrop's timeline. :D
