What's so bad about Secretly Kissed? I don't see anything out of the ordinary there. Cute concept! :-)

It's a spam site designed to collect email addresses :]

If someone signs up, and sends a 'secret kiss', the person kissed MUST sign up in order to find out who kissed them. But alas, it's not that easy. Even though the sign up page says "to find out who secretly kissed you, sign up!", they DON'T reveal who did it! You have to send a 'secret kiss to "everyone you like", and if the emails match the person who 'kissed' you, then it gets revealed. Until then, you simply plug email addresses into their 'machine'. That's all it is is a spam generator.

Not to mention, what if the person who 'kissed' you is using their third email address? So you either have to guess, or sign up all of their email addresses. Plus, what if you don't feel the same way about the person? Now, you have to use their email anyway, and if it matches up, well, talk about sending false signals!

The site is very deceptive (but you don't know about it until AFTER you sign up).

Someone sent me a 'secret kiss', so I wanted to find out who. At the very least, morbid curiosity forces you to sign up, but if you actually found out who sent it to you, as they STATE IN THE SIGN UP AGREEMENT, then it wouldn't be so bad...

Further proof:

the SAME EXACT email wound up in the bulk mail box in my PeeYoo mail account. Secretlykissed.com sends out these things EN MASSE, to get people to sign up and not only confirm their emails, but 'present' SK.com with even more emails for their spam machine... argh!

I wish...

seriously though, I only recieved one in my PeeYoo mail, but it went to the bulk folder, which meant something you can't see just by checking the properties, tells it that this mailing was sent to a bunch of different people (like a bcc). I should compare, and probably find that the one to my PeeYoo mail and the one to my regular mail have the same exact link... (because the emails aren't personalized, they just say you've been kissed, click here to find out by who").

Just be careful for that "I love you" virus. The subject line sometimes says "You have a secret admirer". I narrowly avoided that one last week.
