Nice to meet ya Tim. :o)

And thanks again to everybody for remembering ye ole day. [grin]

I was curious to find out what "I was capable of" on the holics site, so I took a stroll over thar. ;o)

Um... Fungus? You know there's supposed to be a hyphen in-between the "n" and the "c" in my site's URL, right?

http://www.centropoholics.com/links.html

[Pat wonders what folks have been thinking after clicking over to that *other* site all this time.] LOL

AP

And the award goes to... (F_U_N_G_U_S)
03-02-2002, 08:50 PM
Well, the actual hyperlink goes to the right place, I just left out the hyphen for aesthetics :] (if people type it in visually, they'll get the wrong url, then they have to come back to our site to click the link again ;Þ

Agent Pat (Agentpat)
03-02-2002, 08:57 PM
Click on it Fungus. It goes to the other guy's site - which is down right now, apparently. Neither the hyper link nor the hyper text at http://www.centropoholics.com/links.html is correct.

This link is incorrect:
http://www.johncorbett.com/

Here's the correct one:
http://www.john-corbett.com/

:o)

Check again Pat.

The link to your site is accurate. Read the description again :]

Agent Pat (Agentpat)
03-02-2002, 10:42 PM
Oy. I just did. I apologize. I need sleep. I see now you have "please don't confuse with," which is exactly what I did. Would you mind removing the second URL, or perhaps not hyperlinking it? If *I* was confused, the potential exists for others to click quickly w/o reading first.

Sowee. [ducks and runs]

The discussion about links launched one of the best web surfing trips I've had in quite a while.
Nice sites!

Sheri Gordon (Sheri)
03-03-2002, 08:39 AM
Notice she only visited the links page when we told her about it, and then all she did was complain about the link. >:-P

hehehehe

Ya need to get out more often, Pat. *giggle*

And the Oscar goes to... (F_U_N_G_U_S)
03-03-2002, 01:42 PM
I know! and I was talking about the Archive section, not the links! :]

Agent Pat (Agentpat)
03-03-2002, 06:48 PM
I never said the links page was the *only* page I visited in my trip over to holics.com the other night. Also, I'd been to the links page before, but it was a while ago, so I forgot about the comparison to the other jc.com.

Sheesh. Tough crowd. ;o)

An interesting read, indeed, Tim! Your story reminds me of our own experience visiting the set of The Patriot. Roland and Dean both have this caring, realistic attitude about them. I think that's part of what made them so successful and able to work with the best people in their productions. Who WOULDN'T want to work with them again and again?

Tim McDaniel (Tim)
03-04-2002, 10:45 AM
How true, Sheri. I've never met a director as talented as Roland yet. He made me very comfortable (I only threw up the first day on set).

I met Dean briefly, I think. I can't remember for certain, since there was another Dean on the set (I won't get into THAT subject). I'll have to ask him whether he remembers meeting me or not. I think he and Roland had just started working together at the time.

Sheri Gordon (Sheri)
03-04-2002, 01:12 PM
Hmmm....do get into THAT subject. We got the time and space here. heehee

Tim McDaniel (Tim)
03-04-2002, 01:41 PM
Let's just say "He was NO Dean Devlin". I think I'll leave it at that.

Now now, Sheri, let's not get me in trouble. Roland still likes me.

I'm sure glad Pat was born...see what she started!

Tim, your "Life on the Set" is quite entertaining. When you do a reading, do you use your "normal" voice, or change to fit the character you're portraying?

Tim McDaniel (Tim)
03-07-2002, 06:07 AM
Will, I always try to fit into the role by whatever means necessary (glasses, clothes, attitude). Often, a change of voice is quite effective. I took some voice classes in L.A. actually during some of my regular acting, improvisation and commercial acting classes. The main thing I've always tried to remember is to just have fun. I've always thought that the audition was the best part of the day, since the rest of the day involved nothing but driving and other monotonous adventures. A lot of actors get too nervous before the meeting. It shows when they're in the waiting room. That only makes my performance stronger when meeting with the casting director, producer and/or director.

Regards.

cool! "Pocket Pat's" got some competition now, a la "Pocket Tim"! How about doing your own stunts, Tim...any thoughts on that?
