Pop up ads

Is anyone else getting some pop-up window ads when they access the BBS? It's been happening to me and I don't understand, since they're not associated with us. So I'm curious if it's just on my computer or if this is happening to anyone else. <BR> <BR>Thanks in advance, <BR> <BR>-Dean Devlin

I've noticed just recently a browser window that will minimise itself on my task bar and spew out pop-up ads, but it doesn't seem to appear when I visit a certain site. It just happens every so often, probably some nasty site installed it unbeknownst to me. I have to right click and kill it.

Looks like you guys have got some spyware :] <BR> <BR>Go to www.lavasoft.de and download ad-aware, it will clean your system out. Sneaky little things, and very annoying (and potential security hazards too).

I get those auto pop-up ads on other sites, but have *never* gotten them on this BBS, thank goodness! They're very aggravating when they do appear.

.. just my two pesos here.. No popup ads when I access the site. So it's more than likely your computer. Go with Fungi's suggestion -- these ad banner peepz are getting sneakier by the day. <BR> <BR>Good luck. <BR> <BR>-=JAG!

I would have to say a NOPE here too.. <BR> <BR> No pop ups here (Yahoo is FAMOUSE for them though.. I get them all the time from there) <BR> <BR>Hope you get this solved.. I would agree Spywear is the problem.. it's EVERYWHERE!

Dean you could have some spyware on your computer. You should goto www.download.com and download a program name ad aware. should solve that issue.=) p.s. you da man!
