Electric Goose (Egg)

Chris, this isn't even the highlights. He was supposed to speak for 2 and 1/2 hours with a break, but elected to speak and read for 3 hours straight. POOR MAN!!

I went up there with my sister-in-law, Kari and my cousin Christine. Christine desperately wanted to hear from my grandfather. Not because she wanted confirmation that he was safe and happy, but because she wanted him to "yell at the family for being mean to her." So I just KNEW we weren't going to hear from him. I got a "message" the night before so I knew my Grandpa wasn't going to show up. My Grandfather's name was Modesto. Everyone called him Mud. I don't usually turn the TV on when I'm putzing around the house (I realized I hadn't packed for Vegas yet and needed to move my HEINIE!!!) But this time I did. I had stopped for
a moment and picked up a picture of Grandpa to ask him to pop in. At that VERY moment a commercial came on where this woman wearing a purple shirt that says MUDD is kissing everyone good bye. Grandpa wasn't coming. So I kissed his picture and said thanks for thinking of us.

So... We met up at my house and had a chauffered
Towncar. Our driver looked like Tom Seizmore with his head shaved. Kinda talked like him too. Miguel by name. He had the patience of a saint. We three
hormonal women wanted to kill at least 3 dozen people on the way up there. When we arrived this woman was standing in the street right in front of the Masonic Center holding a spot for her car. We bullied our way in so Miguel could let us out. I noticed a HUGE black limo pulled up parallel to us. Afterwards, Miguel told us John Edward got out of that limo but that we had run in far too fast to see him.

We got our seats. Third row from the front. West side of the stage. I wanted to have my notes with me when I wrote this, but I don't have them. Craptastic, eh?

John Edward has a very electric personality. The only other Celebrity I've seen with that sort of energy is Armin Shimmerman who played Quark on Star Trek: DS9. Leaping off the stage and running out into the audience. He was wearing his glasses which I think make him even more adorable. (Why is it when you mention someone is cute someone else will say "He's married." Does marriage make one ugly? Or is it just that our society is so degraded that folks will actually go after a married man just because they think he's cute? Ugh...don't answer that.) The man is magnetic! He's got the most impish personality which I think upset a few people. But love just OOZES from that guy so I
can't understand how they manage to get upset. He loves people and LOVES what he does! Lighten up!

He asked who felt they had seen someeone who'd crossed over. Folks raised their hands. He asked who thought they'd heard someone who'd crossed over, folks raise their hands. Then he said "SO many people discount this but... How many people have SMELLED something...?" Now my hand had been up for the two previous questions but at the third he spun around and looked right at me.
"You! What did you smell?"
"Chorizzo." I said.
"What?"
"It's a breakfast sausage."
"You smelled sausage?" (funny look on his face)
"Yes."
(big smile) "Ya know I gotta ask: Was anyone cooking?"
(big smile back) "No, we were decorating the Christmas tree."
"How did you make a connection?"
"My grandfather had passed some 5 years earlier. My
grandmother made him that sausage every morning of their married life."

He refered to The Sausage Girl a few times throughout the night.

Later, on our way home in the car, my cousin asked why I'd never told her about the chorizzo smell. (Incase anyone is wondering, it's pronounced chodiso, accent on the i) It's not exactly something you talk about unless you want to be locked up, eh? She told me when she was blue or in a panic she'd often smell chorizzo, which gave us a confirmation we hadn't even seen coming.

One thing I hadn't expected was the sense of community there. JE said in the beginning that sometimes three friends will come together. Each of their fathers have passed and when all three fathers show up, since they're on the same level, they'll seem (in his head) like brothers. Which, in a sense, they are... "So," he announced, "tonight you've all just become spiritual family." And it really felt like it! People were huggin and crying and talking to each other all night. It was great!

He highly recommended reading and prayer to help, not only with communications here AND there, but to aid the evolution of the soul. He mentioned the psychic amnesia thing. Where someone is so determined to be skeptical they immediately answer NO to everything he says. He did say this happens a LOT because the folks on the other side come through most vocally for those in need of a belief system. Remember the "misses" he said. Write them down. You'll confirm them at home later.

He read a guy above me who I was tempted to go up and murder. JE said he had someone named Al, very close to him, coming through and the guy kept insisting he didn't know anyone named Al. 20 minutes later he remembers Al. HIS DEAD FATHER! Then JE said he was moving he insisted he wasn't. 20 minutes later he says "Well my OFFICE is moving. But I'm not packing any of it. I'm making my secretary do it." At that point I thought JOHN was going to climb up and kill him. Talk about a man in need of some Evolution-of-the-Soul!!! UGH!!

He did some really GREAT readings that night!

He did tell us he'd written a book called Crossing
Over which should be out in June I think. Or was it
the TV show was going to begin airing in June on KTVU? Well, keep your eyes out for a new book called Crossing Over.

Lisa
