I've FINALLY finished the first draft for my screenplay, "The Quick Life".

Now that I have the story all down here in front of me, now comes the time to hack it apart and work out detail by detail, throwing this out, adding this in, and hopefully it comes out the other end with the same vision I had for it in the beginning. Wish me luck!

LOL

I still need names.

"The names and details of this story have been changed to protect the identities of the innocent (and not so innocent). Any correlation to events or persons in real life is purely intentional."

*giggle*

Although, now that I read my new logline, perhaps the original title "Season of Speed" suits it better. We'll see.

Yeah the rewrite process can be very hazerdous...hehe. However, this is the time when you can make script changes, name, or anything else. I really love this time, because I will think of new things that I didn't think of, and get rid of half of the bad dialogue and other not as great parts, making sure that the agent or DEAN...hehe Sheri...uh-hem, gets the best quality.
Have fun

hahahaa Well, I don't think I have that 'connection' anymore, so will prolly have to shop it around 'the hard way' with this one, all on my own. (Although, if you want franchisability, this one reaks of it! *wink wink nudge nudge*)

I do have a unique plan for marketing this one. Going to have some fun exercising my Flash media muscle. You'll see what comes of it hopefully by summer's end. I already have some of that video footage I was needing, muchly thanks to Starr enduring a very fast ride in my car the other day. ;-) Now to get a camcorder to get the rest of the footage I want. Seems there's a new funny car in town this season (a special kind of dragster, not a ha-ha "funny") I want some video of that car.

I'm already partway through the second draft. Thought I would dread it, but I'm enjoying it. Since the story's all down on paper now, it's just a matter of fleshing some things out more, working in fine details, etc. The third draft will work on plausability and shootability. Then to let a few select friends read it for me to see what THEY think. Make a few edits as needed from that. Then, go to town! :-)

YESSSS!! (0.000 is a "perfect light")

YUP

8 thousandths of a second...yeash, I can't even fathom how little that is. (I even did one light that was 6 thousandths of a second! Aiming for that "perfect light" award, I am!) But I do know the guys will sure be watching out for me this year. hehehe Considering every tenth of a second advantage works out to a car-length lead in the end, every bit I can gain at the start could win or lose the race. And when most guys are only getting .100 at best (many in my class are "newbies" so only get .500 reaction times), that puts me in a VERY good spot.

She's baaaaaaaaaack! ;-) (And faster than before too *EG*)

Fan-tastic! You can't get any better than that, Sheri. I hope you get the "perfect light" award! I guess I'll have to take you up on a thumb fight sometime. Going through my drivers ed class, we had to sit on this simulator driving machine, with lights, wheel, gas and brakes. I had the fastest reaction time in my class of thirty. My instructor went and got his boss to watch! In one segment of filming The Patriot, they were throwing these flyers off the roof top on top of us and I snagged one out of the air. That's on the cutting room floor, I'm sure. Be careful in that furious car! your fellow atic!

Hopefully not the end of us, but it does put a little life in your life! N'est pas? Well, maybe *most* of them ;-) The first filming at Middleton, I was totally in awe! Another shot where I *knew* a camera was directed my way, there were soldiers marching down the street, and horses and carriages coming to and fro.CRF. I had to walk between and around them, and did so with my hands folded, thumbs crossed ( a la acolyte days) for two reasons 1. knowing most back in those revolutionary times were highly religious and 2. I was doing some praying of my own
