Is it just me, or is the chat room option gone? Are they making a new one, or did it go away, because we didn't use it much?

It's gone. They setup the new site and had to some some re-arranging. Currently, far as I know, Andrew is looking for suggestions for a better type of chat room.

I say we use that 'drawing' applet, and just hand-write our chats onscreen ;Þ

Problem is my handwriting's gone down the tube. I can type 70wpm, but I can write maybe three. hehehe

Yeah, but you'd be writing with your mouse! That's gotta count for something :] (and I think at that point, we'd all be down to about 3 wpm)

Small potatoes guys, I once had to write a letter to my sister who lives a thousand miles away... she took it to the druggist to get it translated. hehehe

Dunno. But i can read a doctor's prescription.

All the PhD guys here pick up and empty your garbage cans. I had the choice of that, or write. Trouble is, they make more money than me.

Help wanted from you computer wiz's - a letter to the Helpdesk

Dear helpdesk,
A friend is having trouble with his system.

Last year he upgraded to Girlfriend 1.0 from Drinking Mates 4.2 which he'd used for years without any trouble. However, apparently there are conflicts between these two systems and the only solution was to try and run Girlfriend with the sound turned off. But to make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as; Lads Night Out 3.1, Golf 2 and Playboy 6.0.

Successive versions of Girlfriend proved no better, Girlfriend 3.0 had many bugs and left a virus in his system, forcing him to shut down
completely for several weeks. Eventually he tried installing Girlfriend 2.1 as well as Girlfriend 1.0 only to discover that when these two systems detected each other they caused severe damage to all his hardware.

Sensing a way out, he upgraded to Fiancée 1.0 only to discover to his dismay that this system requires rapid upgrading to Wife 1.0.However,
whilst Wife 1.0 uses up all available resources it does come bundled with FreeSexPlus and Cleanhouse 2000 plus GreatMealsOnTable (Guaranteed for a limited period). But imagine my friend's disappointment on discovering Wife 1.0 can be unstable and costly to maintain, any mistakes he makes are automatically stored in Wife 1.0 Hard Drive and cannot be deleted - they then resurface months (or years) later.

Wife 1.0 also automatically runs UltraSTROP and WHINGEzip and no option on the Help menu seems to work, leaving him to try and GUESS the fault himself.

The system footprint needs updating regularly requiring Shoeshop BrowserPro for new attachments - Hairstyle Express needs to be reinstalled every week.

Wife 1.0 also has a rather annoying pop-up called Mother-in-law, which can't be turned off.

Sheri Gordon (Sheri)

That's okay. Wife 1.0 was intended for that hard- to-find Perfect Mac system anyway. Run it on the average underpowered PC and it'll crash'n'burn every time.

Well one soloution is to wait it out..
Eventually the offending program mutates into an IT.ex file..
Then you only need wait for it to perform an illegal operation and BAM! you have a free system again!

Kee Kee Birds INDEED Sheri...
Froze my BUTT off today
WHO left the Central A/C on last night out there??

Sheri Gordon (Sheri)

The problem is, Starr....usually when the IT.ex file infiltrates the Wife 1.0 it usually takes your computer down with it. And your house. And your dog.
