I never wanna see another porcupine in my life! >:-P

Had this illustration jobby to do for an upcoming children's educational book about Porcupines. 30 pages worth. Joyyyyyyyy.

She didn't have much of a budget, so I'm only getting paid $30 per illo, so I didn't spend a WHOLE lot of time on each one. 1-2hrs each, tops. You should see the book she had done on Moose before this. Oy gads, it makes my watercolor sketches here look like masterpieces! ;)

http://www.blackhorsedesign.com/artworks/porcupines/index.shtml

Yeah, but if it is a childrens educational book, perhaps a lot of detail would just clutter their minds. It seems to me it is actually best to keep it simple, including only the obvious charicteristics of importance. It's a pretty porcupine. hehehe

That's true. And in particular, this book is for learning disabled kids, in the Yukon Territory region.

You'll probably prefer to do echidna or two.

Echidna: spiny anteater. The only other mammal besides the platypus that lays eggs.

They're cute :]

Congratulations Sher! Cool Porcupine, wouldn't want to cuddle it though. I guess you could scratch it under its chin.
