Great Taste AND Less Filling! (F_U_N_G_U_S)

In an effort to expand my boundaries (and not my waistline), I have begun to delve into other mediums. I feel you can't truly reach new levels in your chosen medium, unless you expand your understanding of other mediums, so I decided to try my hand at colored pencils. I am also working on a pastel and c.p. image currently. So this is my first real c.p. image. I know the proportions are off (as in "his chest would go right into his hips"), but this was mainly for the colored pencil technique. I sketched the image very quickly.

He's onta somethin. There's money to be made in portraiture. Heck, I do well in painting people's horses. You should seriously look into commission work. Even if you offer a service to "immortalize" them as their favorite action hero. I bet that would go over well!!!

I know the proportions are off (as in "his chest would go right into his hips")......

Nahhh...he is just abdominally challenged. But the work is definately good....ther are some tecniques that can also be used...involving blending with alcohol I believe...if I can find the book that it is explained in, and you want the info, I can get it to ya.

Maurine

There's also colorless blender markers than can be bought for use in blending colored pencils. I never used to be able to find 'em much, but I see Staples/Office Depot now carries them in their arts section.
