This was the film that introduced me to Centropolis. And after five years I'm still impressed by it. It was one of the greatest effects movies of all time right up there with Jurassic Park and Titanic. It was a really excellent all around action movie. The characters were funny and interesting. And the human side to the story still continues to move and inspire me.
Just needed to express my feelings, Greetings
~Kim

I remember when I first saw the movie when the scene where the city-destroyer exited the cloud over New York was shown I swear everyones jaw in that theatre hit the floor in unison!LoL! I didn't realize I was just sitting there with my mouth open gaping at all this. It was just one of those great cinematic experience special effects wise. Then when the destruction began rolling over the cities I think you could have heard a pin drop in that theatre if it weren't for the awesome roar coming from the speakers. It was just so eerie to see all those familier things being destroyed. Then when the Prez did his speach it was amazing the kind of response everyone gave it applauding and of coures again when the aliens got theirs hehe..::evil grin:: and finally at the end credits. Man which just proved Will Smith owned the show!LoL! Nah all the actors names got applause but I think Smith's got the most though. Anyway that was just the most amazing theatrical experience I have ever had and after five years I still haven't found another movie that could top it.

TL, Kim

I remember reading a interview in T.V guide with Brent Spiner (Data) where he talked about shooting that scene were he comes flying out of the smoke and hits the glass. He said when they were filling up the room with smoke he was getting a little worried about breathing it so he asked some of the guys on the set if it was safe and they said "oh yah, sure it's safe" and these were people with gas masks telling him this!LoL! I bet that was a fun seen to do.

~Kim

Independence Day is an extremely captivating movie. I agree Kim, its definetely one of the best effects movies made - no doubt.
