Interesting article. I can see where the Muslim culture is coming from in terms of trying to keep their own traditions and heritage alive.

Yes, we ARE a sexually charged society with a lust for money and power. While the muslim extremists carry their fight a tad too far, can we blame them? They're but a small voice being drowned out in a "Free" world. If it was our culture being replaced by another (a la ID4), I'm sure we'd be just as pissed off. And like anything in life, different people react in different ways. Some use sense and reason, others use force.

We do have to have a new understanding of Muslim culture - and any other culture we affect - and learn to respect it. If we give them respect, we may get it back in return. At least, if ever there is to be peace, that's what has to happen. Instead of me, me, me, we have to start thinking "we". Maybe an event like worldy invasion is what it would take for us humans to get past our petty differences and come together as one.

The ironic bit was Ahmad was saying this as he was buying a ticket to Moulin Rouge, with american dollars. (Egyptian dollars a now near worthless, and the US dollar is preferred tender.)

Why don't we get the aliens to nuke the extremists... they'd probably have better aim than the yanks. ;)

ET, call Earth!!

No nukes. period. by aliens or otherwise. I would say who ya calling yank, wank? but that would sound too forceful and I wouldn't want to piss you off. Besides, I'm really not exactly sure what it means.

ID4? Just a great entertaining movie. I have not even seen Moulin Rouge yet. Didn't even get to see Nicole K. while they were filming Cold Mountain, but I was wondering where she was while strolling down the plank road thirsting for an Icehouse. What was really neat was seeing a few familiar faces from The Patriot filming.
