HEY! Iz quiet in here. We must fix that!

Okay, so who's idea was it to place Adam in the fictional town of "Gerard" Colorado? Not only is the location identified with a layered text title at the beginning of the episode, but fugitive Adam MacArthur is even seen driving a bus labeled "Gerard." Okay, no biggie. Anybody catch the connection though? In both "The Fugitive" television show as well as the movie, the last names of the characters who pursued the fugitive was "Gerard" - "Lt. Philip Gerard" on the TV show, and "Federal Deputy Marshal Sam Gerard" in the film. *giggle*

And while I'm here, allow me to also draw attention to the fact that Tommy Lee Jones played "Sam Gerard" in the movie version of "The Fugitive." Col. Vise jokingly identified himself as Jones in Caged. "Sure you are - and I'm Tommy Lee Jones!" Get it?

Dean and company, you guys kill me!

Agent Pat (doing her best to maintain the moniker)

There's no doubt in my mind about your "moniker"! It has been earned over and over again! ;o)

Hey Pat, Do you store all these insights in a special file? Or are they fresh revelations? Once again, I'm impressed. You don't suppose they landlocked poor MacArthur and turned him from Navy to Air Force pilot just for this nod to the Fugitive . . .

A special file somewhere? Yeah, the "D" drive in the back of my head. LOL

Actually, these last two "revelations" were new (Gerard and The Sting.) I'll see something and go "Hmmmmmm...." Then it's off to do the research to confirm my suspicion. Hell, I bet we've only scratched the surface too. If I were the filmmaker(s), I would jam pack every episode with stuff like this. It's fun to work into the script, and even more fun for the viewer to "discover" along the way.

Regarding the Air Force verses Navy pilot, I'm not sure the writers knew *what* they wanted Adam to be. They kept intermingling aspects of both (different planes etc.) As far as the town name (Girard), I suppose they could have made it an old Naval base somewhere near the coast if they wanted to. My guess is, the writers weren't too concerned with the exact location, just the "history" of that location.

Well, the "history" of that location, Gerard, is also problematic. We see young Constance with infant son in her arms. There's the reluctant leave-taking as Adam MacArthur departs for his survival training, with the dust of a very inland Colorado town welling up from the jeep. (MacArthur isn't very established in his career if he's just leaving on survival training.) He supposedly met Constance there in Gerard. Now they've married and their infant son is born. BUT, look at son Jason's info stored at the NSA. Jason was born in Florida. hmmm.

Good point on the Florida/Colorado mystery. Wassup with that? On one hand, we have MacArthur disappearing from a training mission in FL, but Adam and Constance seem to have a lot of history in Girard. Strange. Where did they spend most of their time? Adam's flashbacks aren't too clear in that department.

:-) I'm tempted to say his flashbacks are flawed as a result of his abduction experience and the experiments. Maybe the poor guy is pining away for his lost family but doesn't remember the details correctly, LOL.

No, maybe Constance's mother, who happened to live in Florida, wanted to help with the birth. So Constance went home to mom's, then returned to the dusty old base with the baby.

I often wonder if the writers have ever lamented, "We can't get NUTHIN' by these people!"

Either that, or they're shaking their heads thinking, "What a bunch of GEEKS!" LMAO!

Thank the cyber gods Dean understands. ;o)

Don't military families move a lot? Get stationed around a lot? Mebbe that's why he was in one place then another, OR, they were vacationing? It *was* a holiday, after all, wasn't it? hehehe

And yep....being a writer meself, I can tell you this much...."WHERE in the heck do they get all this from? I just stuck that in there cuz it sounded good." ;-)

I see Pat and Kefla were off and running again last night! Day-um! I missed the fun but woke up to a great discussion this morning!

Also, I seem to be missing a lot of details. I think I'd better concentrate on the "story line" when I'm watching "The Visitor" and not be so distracted by the actor who's playing Adam! :oP

Emma

You're absolutely right Sher, military families do move around a great deal. I suppose we'll have to chalk this one up to information left un-detailed. :o)

Emma, distractions are the spice of life babe. ;o)

About every two years Military families tend to move.

About Adam's flight, it took off from Eglin Air Force base "Home of the Blue Angels"-and disappeared over Melbourne Florida-part of the Triangle, no less-

The Flight existed. That's what kept me interested in the show to begin with.

Chris
The FOX plant
